Every now and then I re-realize how amazingly talented my friends are. From DJ’s to dancers to photographers to painters and everything in between.

Every year for quite some time now Rotterdam has its Route Du Nord. An art route through ‘het Oude Noorden’ of Rotterdam. Empty spaces become temporary galleries, shops open their doors for live-music, poetry-readings and more. In one of those galleries my talented friend Jowy Maasdamme had an exposition. Jowy’s illustrations are insane. Even though I’ve seen her work before I found myself staring at one of her pieces. You can see her passion for drawing in her work.And it’s that passion she has for what she does that somehow rekindled the passion I lost for writing a long time ago.

I think that’s the blessing of having talented friends, through their passion for what they do you keep rediscovering the world. Every time from another perspective.
